Response to Exercise in Congenital Complete
نویسنده
چکیده
T HE CLINICAL and hemodynamic findings in patients with complete heart block have been reported by many authors.1-14 There is general agreement that irrespective of the etiology of the block, cardiac enlargement and increased stroke volume are the compensatory mechanisms for the slow rate. In a few studies ventricular rate and other hemodynamic changes have been followed during exercise.1-3' 13-15 The prevailing opinion is that in patients with the congenital form of complete heart block the ventricular rate increases more readily than in patients with the acquired form of the arrhythmia. This opinion is based principally on observations in isolated cases. Therefore, the effect of exercise and exercise tolerance were studied in patients with the congenital form of complete atrioventricular dissociation.

Determination of the frequency and response to treatment of ocular lesions in children with various types of intrauterine infections (cytomegalovirus and toxoplasmosis): brief report
Background: Intrauterine infections (TORCH) lead to the involvement of various organs of the body of the fetus, including the eye. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency and clinical response of eye lesions to specific drugs, in infants with confirmed TORCH induced ocular lesions. Methods: This historical cohort study from 2011 to 2017, had done in Pediatrics and Ophthalmology De...

Background: Oral Aprepitant, a neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist, is suggested in combination with other antiemetic agents in preventing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV) associated with emetogenic chemotherapeutic regimens in adolescents, but its efficacy and safety in pediatric patients more than six months are unknown. in this study, we used abitant drug (a generic name of Aprepi...
متن کاملResponse to exercise in congenital complete atrioventricular block.
In 8 patients aged 8 to 17 years with congenital complete atrioventricular (AV) block, exercise testing was performed on a treadmill. Cardiorespiratory endurance performance was assessed by determination of the ventilatory threshold. The mean value for ventilatory threshold was significantly lower (p less than 0.005) than the normal mean value and averaged 76 +/- 16%, 75 +/- 17% and 75 +/- 16% ...
متن کاملThe effect of exercise status on response of homocysteine and insulin resistance to aerobic exercise in postmenopausal obese women
Homocysteine and insulin resistance in postmenoupausal women rises due to decrease in estrogen, low mobility and weight gain which increase the cardiovascular diseases. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of aerobic exercise training status on response of homocysteine and insulin resistance to aerobic exercise in active and nonactive obese postmenopausal women. Therefore, 21 obese ...

We studied exercise performance before and after conversion of atrial tachycardia to sinus rhythm, atrial bradycardia, or junctional rhythm in 10 patients 9-25 years of age 8-20 years after congenital heart disease surgery (complete transposition of the great arteries, seven of 10 patients). The same maximal cycle (five of 10 patients) or treadmill (five of 10 patients) exercise protocol was pe...
